About Us
Blackburn Local is a free, independent guide to local businesses, property and services in Blackburn, Lancashire. It was started by Waqar, a Blackburn local, to make it easier for people to find trusted firms nearby and for small businesses to get found online without paying big directory fees.
What you will find here
- Local businesses – plumbers, electricians, builders, garages, barbers, beauty salons, takeaways, restaurants, cleaners and many more, with phone numbers, opening hours and reviews.
- Property – houses and flats for sale and to rent across Blackburn, from local estate agents, landlords and private sellers.
- Local guides – practical articles, such as how to find a trusted tradesperson in Blackburn.
Every listing is checked
Each business and property advert is checked by a real person before it appears on the site. Reviews are read before they go live, and we remove anything that looks fake, abusive or off-topic. If you spot a mistake in a listing, please tell us and we will fix it.
Free for local businesses
Listing a business is free and always will be. Businesses that want extra visibility can choose a Featured listing, which places them at the top of their category and is always clearly marked as featured. This is how the site pays for itself.
